- This routine computes the overall performance of a number (>1) of cascaded
- stages. The noise figure (in dB), gain (in dB) and IP3 (in dBm, refereed to
- the output) are entered for each stage. The routines computes:
- 1) Overall noise factor, noise figure (dB) and noise temperature (K)
- 2) Overall gain (just adds up individual stages)
- 3) Input intercept (dBm) and output intercept (dBm)
- 4) The Minimum detectable signal (MDS). This is the smallest useable signal at
- the input, without it being below the noise level. Its equal to kTB(NF-1).
- 5) The maximum (IPmax) level of one of two equal tones at f1 and f2, that may
- be applied to the input without the 3rd order product (2 f1 - f2 or 2 f2 - f1)
- being above the noise level.
- 6) The two-tone dynamic range, which is the difference between the MDS and IPmax
